Our backcountry trips are designed for experienced fly-fishers/fishers that are looking to really get their hands dirty in adventure. If you don’t like be around others while fishing then these more remote backcountry trips are perfect for you. These trips are a lot more demanding with both physicality and experience; you must be physically able to walk, hike, swim, paddle hard and long, and carry up to 40-50lbs and it is best if you are an experienced caster. Very eager beginners are also welcome to give these trips a try.
These trips are definitely not for the faint of heart. Bugs can be bad (certain times of the year and certain places), inclement weather can roll in in minutes, the sun can be intense, the wind can pick up creating chop in the water and hard paddling, and really anything can happen when out in the wilderness. Sometimes you just have to dig deep and never give up, for quitting is not an option. As much as these trips can be tough they are incredibly rewarding and exciting. They are filled with beauty, wildlife and adventure. These backcountry trips are what we absolutely love to do.
